  • Put her shoes away by herself
  • Follow commands
  • Make a decision when given a choice of two different things
  • Answer simple questions (What is that?)
  • Engage in pretend play

  • Take turns using the technique of count to 10 and then it's another kid's turn
  • Eat using a spoon or fork
  • Drink out of a cup with no lid

Maddie is working on:
  • Knowing her colors
  • Knowing her shapes

  • Trading
  • Keeping her hands to herself
  • Hold on to a cup with no lid without spilling
I'm sure there are many more exciting things going on in her world, but this what we see regularly. Of course we think she's a wonder and watching her grow and learn surprises and amazes us every day!

Easter

Maddie had a very fun Easter Weekend. We took her to her first Easter egg hunt, where she picked up three eggs and waved at the Easter bunny. Also, we had a wonderful Easter dinner with Christina, Brian, Ryland, Karlee, Brandon, Perrie, and Chelsea. We gave Maddie one chocolate Easter egg and she started running up and down the hallway for a good 15 -20 minutes. In all, it was a great weekend spent with great friends and great food!

These little piggies

These are pictures from the first time I tried to put pigtails "piggies" in her hair. They lasted about 30 seconds after the picture was taken. While we were in Arizona she let my sister do it every day.

Finally, a nice day!

Today was such a beautiful day in Seattle. We were all really excited about it and spent as much time as possible outside. We went to the Ballard Sunday Market in the morning, followed by park/beach time in the afternoon, and a dinnertime picnic in the back yard. In all, it was a wonderful day and we're so happy that the sun has finally come out in Seattle!
