Busy Weekend

We had a very busy weekend. I ran the Rock and Roll Seattle half marathon for the second time and everyone came out the cheer me on. I was able to improve my time by about 30 minutes over last year, which is great. After that, we went to the wedding ceremony of some good friends, Kim and Ben. Sunday, we went and played in the water fountains at Ballard Commons park and ended our weekend with a Sunday dinner sail with the Fentons. It was a very busy weekend for all of us, but we had a great time and were glad we were able to spend time together and with friends.

A home made sign to cheer me on!

Back in Seattle

Since coming back from Arizona, we've all really enjoyed getting back into our regular routine, especially spending time with Eric.

Arizona

While Eric had a business trip to St. Louis, I took the kids to Arizona to visit my family. Maddie was really excited about how sunny and warm it was all the time and we were all excited to see my family. Unfortunately, we didn't take too many pictures, but that's because we were having too much fun! We went to the pool, a splash pad, a mud event, the Phoenix Children's museum, and spent lots of time with Granny, Papa Dad, Melissa, Eddie, and of course, Victoria. Although we had a great time in Arizona, it was great to get home after 10 days and see Eric again!

Hands on Trucks

Last weekend was beautiful and we were all happy to spend as much time outside as possible. On Sunday, we went to a hands on trucks event. It was held at Magnuson Park and had virtually every kind of truck a kid could ever want to explore, parked and ready for the huge mass of children waiting to play on them. The lines were long, so we didn't make it to too many trucks before we hit the awesome playground, but the kids were still very excited to get the hands on experience.
