"Celebrating"

Because August is shaping up to be quite a busy month, we decided to have Maddie's birthday party today. She knew we would be at Grandma and Grandpa's for her birthday, but I explained we were having a party to celebrate with her friends early. Since then, she has referred to her party as her "celebrating". Although the weather (RAIN!) had me stressed early in the day, the sun came out just in time for every one to have a lot of fun!

Maddie and Otis have really been enjoying playing together and it's great to see their relationship grow. Here, Maddie is "reading" a story to Otis.

20 months

Maddie really wanted to look at pictures today, so I pulled up pictures of her when she was Otis' age. Looking back, it seems so long ago.

4th of July weekend

Summer has finally arrived in Seattle and we were out in full force to enjoy it! We went for some walks, had many picnics/barbeques, got in a bike ride, some kite flying, and some fireworks!
