Ribbon Wand

Maddie recently received a ribbon wand as a birthday gift from her friend, Harper. It's turned out to be one of her favorite gifts and she's put on many, many "recitals" with it!

Last Days of Summer

The weather in Seattle has finally started to feel like summer, even though summer is almost over. We tried to take advantage of the weather and get out as much as we could. We had coffee in the hammock, went to the market, washed our cars, rode our bikes to the store, and ended the day with a dinner sail. It was a great weekend and we hope we have a few more before the weather turns!

Hospital and Horsie Rides

This weekend proved to be much more eventful that any of us wanted! Otis had a cold that turned in to a pretty severe case of croup and put him in the hospital over night. He was having some difficulty breathing and didn't respond well to some of the medication. Eventually the steroids kicked in and Otis started getting better. It was scary, but now he's on the mend.

After Otis and I came home from the hospital, we spent some quality family time at home. Eric gave horsie rides to the kids and we were able to enjoy the rest of the weekend.
