Is it Spring Yet?

Recital

Maddie has been taking ballet at the park district and really loves it. She had a recital last week and it was beyond cute! And yes, she is wearing a bathing suit with a matching skirt instead of a leotard. She has her own mind about fashion these days!

Tea Party

I bought Maddie and Otis their first tea set today and they quickly put it to use with the Poast girls.

Fingerpainting

Maddie wanted to use her fingerpaints that Grandma and Grandpa gave her for Christmas. Of course, Otis wanted to as well. Otis really just wanted to copy Maddie, which I find very endearing and Maddie already finds annoying. I love seeing Maddie and Otis share experiences and have a great time together!

Airplane!

Tonight Maddie was playing with a felt airplane and pretending to fly it through the air. Luckily there were two and Otis started to mimic her. It was really cute and it's so fun to see Maddie and Otis starting to play together!

Grandparents Visit

Eric's parents came to visit during the past week and it was fun for everyone. Otis got his first haircut, Maddie and Karen built a gingerbread house from scratch (!), and Eric and Brooks cut a hatch for attic access. It rained most every day, but also we did manage to get out to the aquarium. As always, visits from the grandparents make us wish they lived closer!
