20 month update

Maddie showing some Hokie pride - her Daddy is so proud!

At 20 months, Maddie can:
  • Count to 10
  • Recite the ABC's
  • Put on her pants by herself
  • Put on socks by herself
  • Put on shoes by herself
  • Run at top speed
  • Jump on her bed
  • Sing a variety of songs, including Mary had a Little Lamb, Open Shut, etc.
  • Put her shoes away by herself
  • Follow commands
  • Make a decision when given a choice of two different things
  • Answer simple questions (What is that?)
  • Engage in pretend play
  • Clearly express her wants/feelings
  • Choose books by name
  • Take turns using the technique of count to 10 and then it's another kid's turn
  • Eat using a spoon or fork
  • Drink out of a cup with no lid
  • Talk in full sentences
Maddie is working on:
  • Knowing her colors
  • Knowing her shapes
  • Jumping on the ground (two feet at the same time)
  • Trading
  • Keeping her hands to herself
  • Hold on to a cup with no lid without spilling
I'm sure there are many more exciting things going on in her world, but this what we see regularly. Of course we think she's a wonder and watching her grow and learn surprises and amazes us every day!
