Although the weather wasn't the greatest today, we still took a trip down to Golden Gardens. The kids had a really great time and loved that the sand was wet enough to make a sand castle.

Graduation Day

Maddie "graduated" from her first year of preschool on Thursday. While I'm sure it's the first of many graduations in her future, it still made her seem like she's getting so big so quickly! It's amazing how quickly time seems to pass now that we have kids!

Recital # 3

Maddie had her third recital last week. It was as cute as the previous two. She's taking a break from ballet for the summer to try some other activities out, but I think it'll be back in the fall. She seems to love dancing more than I would have imagined!

Grandma Visits

Grandma Karen came to visit for the past week and we've all enjoyed having her here. The kids loved having her here to read stories, play games, bake cookies, and plant flowers! It was a fun-filled visit, including a Mother's Day brunch, a trip to the zoo, and a bit of shopping. We all enjoyed our time together and can't wait for Grandma (and Grandpa) to visit again!

Daddy Watch

Maddie and Otis have started "Daddy Watch" every week day, anticipating Eric coming home. Once they see his car pull up, I open the door and they run out to greet him. It's an exciting moment for everyone!

Beautiful Sunday

We're really starting to enjoy spring and being outside around here! Today was the nicest weather we've had yet and we took full advantage. This morning I ran the Top Pot Donut Dash 5K and Maddie ran her first kid's fun run 1K! Unfortunately, we forgot the camera and have no pictures to show for it. Maddie was very excited to run though and I'm happy to see her picking up a good habit from her mom! After we ran, we stayed for the kid's concert and everyone had a donut. We then walked home and were able to enjoy the rest of the day in our back yard.
